High school...The ultimate popularity contest.
On TV shows, the "popular" girls are the rich and the beautiful. But who in all reality actually likes girls like that?
So, I was thinking. Of having a group of girls and one queen bee...Rich, beautiful, and she thinks she's popular. People are nice to her even though she's a spoiled brat, mainly because she grants favors for people who "worship" her, as she believes they do. People stay away from her because she thinks they fear her...But really...Who in the world is actually scared of a rich 16 year old girl in heels? Those who stay away just don't like her. She and her friends have those false worshipers who play nice to get into parties...But no one actually likes them.
This is something they only realize when someone else wins homecoming queen or prom queen or something.
Popularity isn't defined by the people who fear you, but the people who actually like you.
I'm hoping to have these people around the time Haley is in high school and have Haley and Roxanne and their friends be the true popular crowd. People who get along with just about everyone, people that everyone else likes...Even though none of them have much money or anything. They're funny, they're involved...And Queen Bee wants revenge. But every attempt at public humiliation...Only makes people like them more and gets more people turned against her than she ever had.
Or something along those lines. I've just been watching a lot of teen shows and rolling my eyes at all of these "popular girls" who no one actually likes and people fear them and I'm like wtf. She's a 16 year old bitch. Nothing to be afraid of. And I think it would be neat for someone to have a character who begins to realize she isn't nearly the person she thought she was. So hopefully someone takes interest It'll give me something else to do with Hales when she's older ^_^
